Artist Statement:
I like to illustrate stories with non-traditional media. Fiber and found materials add depth and texture to
designs that I cannot achieve with simple paint and paper. These stories come from family history, personal
observation and current events. My work is intuitive, and I often don’t know where I’m going until I get there.
Screen-print, resists, and airbrush are my favorite tools. You can see more of my art at the Missouri Botanical
Gardens during the Japanese Festival and at tonidisano.etsy.com.
